Meet the founders of Alterations Room, Sahra & Deniz. Deniz offers 35 plus years of experience sewing at a young age. Originally from Turkey, where she was a sewing instructor at Marmara University, as well as owning a bridal alteration store called Princess Bridal. Deniz a generational seamstress who followed in her mother Ayse’s footsteps who was also a talented seamstress that was handpicked to work in Paris for Chanel. Deniz carries on her mother’s legacy and is driven by her desire to make every bride’s special day truly unforgettable. Deniz’s meticulous attention to detail and her ability to understand the unique vision of each bride set her apart in the industry. Deniz does it all, from resizing gowns, hemming the length, adjusting the bodice, adding or removing embellishments. From delicate lace to flowing silks, she transforms fabric into ethereal creations that embody elegance and romance. She pours her heart and soul into every stitch, ensuring that each gown is a true reflection of the bride’s individual style and personality.

Sahra brings her skills as a bridal alteration manager where she worked closely with brides ensuring each dress fits perfectly for her special day. Sahra’s precise attention to detail is critical when working with bridal gowns, as even minor alterations can significantly impact the overall fit and appearance of the dress. Sahra listens attentively, provides personalized recommendations, and ensures that each bride feels valued and supported throughout the alterations process.
